When you set-up ROX-Session for all users, it asks you for the root password. IIRC it's because it's running su to do root stuff because not all computers have sudo installed. On the other hand, Ubuntu (and maybe other distros) by default has a scrambled root password so you don't actually know what it is anyway, you normally use sudo for administrivia . Is it possible to change it so it either tries sudo and if that fails tries su, or prompts the user for their preferred mechanism? I think one or the other of these will probably work better. -- Tristan |
