Thanks! This was the first I saw of the project, and the AppDir format is certainly a nice way to install it! > New in release 0.54: > - i18n of the recurrence rules in the appointments editor (forgot it in 0.53) > - Slovak translation > - Added menu item for opening the Evolution calendar > - Bug fixes > > The gDeskCal project page: http://www.pycage.de/software_gdeskcal.html > > Enjoy! Let me know if there are any problems with the package... As long as you're going to make it AppDir compatible... it might also be nice if you were to use ROX-Lib2, and, in particular, its Choices system. The reason I say this is because gDeskCal didn't work for me out of the box... because instead of having my CHOICESPATH point to ~/Choices, I have it point to ~/.Choices (thus hiding my configurations). I had to edit 'Values.py' to change this; had gDeskCal used ROX-Lib2, this would have been unnecessary. The other thing ROX-Lib2 would have been nice for is to throw up an alert if any dependencies are missing... > Also, I've been thinking it would be nice to have gDeskCal integrated > with Thomas's Memo (at least, enough that Memo will alert me to events > on my calendar). Any ideas/thoughts? I'd like this! I'd also like Memo to allow me to specify an alternate command to run for an alert (so I can have music or an alarm sound play)... -- Matthew Weier O'Phinney http://weierophinney.net/matthew/ |
