The two attached files show identical areas of the ROX Panel when used with OroboROX and Enlightenment. The behavior of the System Tray (v 0.2) is different and in Enlightenment, one tray icon, kgpg, is not shown at all, although it is accessible at the very left of its icon space. Also, in OroboROX, you will note that the ROX-mms applet is smaller than in the Enlightenment snapshot. Not sure where the problem lies. Using gtk+ 2.4, rox 2.3, rox lib 2.0.2, rox clib 2.1.5. Tested with Enlightenment 0.16.8 and OroboROX 0.9.7.9. Also reporting to Enlightenment maintainer in case the problem is there. Suggestions on how to isolate where the problem is?

with twm, system tray ignores all icons and causes panel to
alter position and slight changes to geometry. I am
beginning to wonder if systemtray needs to be updated to
reflect possible changes in the gtk+ api?

Does this still happen? SystemTray has been replaced by SystemTrayN and TaskTray. Do they have the same problems?

xprop can show you the properties set on each window.
