Update 0.9.4 released

It wouldn't be Roundcube if there wasn't a minor glitch in our stable releases every now and then. It so happened again in the recent 0.9.3 release where an include_path check triggered some regex warnings on Windows systems. We apologize for this! But we're trying hard to keep up and here's a new release which fixes that nasty bug together with some other reported issues that we considered worth being ported to the 0.9 release series.... read more

Moving from launchpad to Transifex

I'd like to inform you that we now decided to switch from launchpad to Transifex to maintain the translations for Roundcube. You can find Roundcube on Transifex.com at https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/roundcube-webmail.

For quality reasons it is set to limited access which means that translators have to apply to become a member of a translation team before they can actually start translating. So if you're interested in becoming a member for a certain language team, choose the language from the list and then click on "Join team" on the upper right part of the overview page.... read more

Update 0.8.4 released

We just published new packages for Roundcube webmail. This service update mainly fixes a nasty bug which sneaked into the last 0.8.3 release. In addition to that, we also packed some more fixes into this release, one of them a recently reported XSS vulnerability.

If you installed 0.8.3, please immediately update your installation with this new version. The buggy previous version makes the compose screen to randomly reload itself which may result in a loss of the unsent message.... read more

Updates 0.8.1 and 0.7.3 released

As usual when a new stable release arrives, there are a few things that didn't make it into that. Therefore we just published an update release adding bug fixes, some minor feature improvements and, most important, two fixes for a recently reported XSS vulnerability in Roundcube's HTML message handling.

At the same same time, we also pushed out a small update for the 0.7 series with some of the important fixes back-ported. That's for those who didn't dare to switch to the new and shiny 0.8 release branch.... read more

Release 0.8 (stable) with new skin is out

We're proud to finally release version 0.8 with the brand new skin, codename "Larry", becoming the new default UI for Roundcube. After two preview releases and a lot of fine-tuning, the new design by bueroflint.com has now grown up. But to all nostalgics out there: don't worry, the old skin still remains part of the package and will be maintained for at least one more major release.

Beside the new UI, this version also contains more bugfixes and improvements (see CHANGELOG) as well as some code refactorings. Another major change since the last stable release is the updated license which is now GPL v3+ with exceptions for skin & plugins. Read more about that on http://roundcube.net/license... read more

The new skin is now ready for testing

The just released version 0.8-beta introduces the all new user interface design of Roundcube. The new skin codename "Larry" isn't enabled by default but you can easily enable and test the new look by setting $rcmail_config['skin'] = 'larry'; in your local config/main.inc.php file.

Some plugins may not yet provide templates and styles for the new skin, so expect certain things to appear broken. We hereby kindly invite all plugin developers to adapt their plugins to the new skin.... read more

Roundcube License Change to GPLv3

Starting with the upcoming version 0.8, Roundcube will be licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) Version 3 or later (with exceptions for skins & plugins) while it was licensed under GPL (v2) before that change.

Together with the change to GPLv3+ we also added an exception paragraph to the Roundcube license agreement which explicitly excludes skins & plugins from the terms of the GPL. This shall give a maximum flexibility to skin designers and plugin developers to choose any other license for their work or even to create commercial or proprietary components.... read more
