Hello ! I have finally succeded in installing Gentoo linux, Xfce and Rosegarden. And everything seems to work great except that rosegarden looses the connection with my Yamaha MM6, which is connected with USB. It always happens shortly or directly after I move any of the controls on the synth, like the bend or cutoff / resonance knobs ? I have 1.7.3 of rosegarden and have NOT installed any sw-synths or jack. What could be the problem ? / Thomas |

If I could come over to your house and piddle around, I might think of something, but short of that I'm at a total loss for ideas. Sorry. -- D. Michael McIntyre |

Perhaps Thomas could record the MIDI stream coming from the MM6, and someone who knows what MIDI events and such are could look at it and see if maybe some synth controller is sending an event that causes a problem? -- David gn...@ha... authenticity, honesty, community |

Maybe you should try kmidimon (http://kmetronome.sourceforge.net/kmidimon/) to monitor your keyboard MIDI events. Or rosegardens, for that matter. I don't know, so I thought I'd reply this off-list email back to the list where knowledgeable folk can answer it! -- David gn...@ha... authenticity, honesty, community |
