I do MIDI stuff in Rosegarden, then record the instruments into Ardour
(using the jack sync feature so everything stays in sync -- this depends
also on if I am using softsynths w/ jack or using outboard MIDI
hardware, for which I can only record one instrument at a time if I want
them on different tracks, and this also goes for drums), then mix
down/master with various I/O combinations of Jack, Ardour, and Jamin.
Dedending on what you are doing, Jamin may not be necessary, but you can
do your audio and MIDI stuff in Rosegarden, then mixdown via jack into
Ardour, and from there get your final stereo mixdowns.
