Yesterday RG was great for me, and allowed me to loop on individual
measures of a song, or on multiple measures of that song. Today I
get stuck notes at the beginning of the 2nd lap on the loop. I'm
ALSA 1.0.6a, ens1371 card driver
Alesis QS8 keyboard
Today I had to set Rosegarden's sequencer synchronization "sequencer
timer" to "auto" and "JACK transport mode" to "Ignore JACK transport".
I'm unclear as to why this was needed today. I'm publicizing this in
case it might help someone else -- stuck MIDI notes can be a pain,
regardless of your OS or sequencer (a former Mac user writing this).

Did that fix the problem? What were these items set to initially when you had
to go back and fix them? It sounds like some kind of settings amnesia
problem, and goodness knows we've had plenty of those.
It could also be a question of one time you were running JACK, and one time
you weren't. The "auto" setting does different things depending whether
you're running JACK or not. I forget the details, but on the one hand it
wants to use timer X, and on the other, it wants to use timer Y, which is the
same timer JACK is using. Something along these lines. I can try to dig up
the details if you really need them.
