I'll confess that I haven't looked for this in the FAQ, but I've
read the FAQ quite a number of times by now.
Is there a way to create a special rg file to be known as a
template, and then to impose that template over the top of an
imported MIDI file? I've done that with Logic and thought it was
pretty cool. Right now I can merge the MIDI file, copy the notes
from each imported track onto one of my default setup tracks,
and then delete the merged in tracks. Oddly on the one merge I
tried, I also ended up with maybe 60 blank tracks between the
merged tracks with data and the end of my template. Some of
those tracks were MIDI and others were audio. Maybe this stuff
was in the merged MIDI file, but it didn't show up with just
importing that MIDI file, rather than merging it. So, I can get
where I want to be, but it could be slightly easier/quicker.
Any comments? It's likely I'm missing something, maybe obvious.
