I have down loaded the latest update, and note the modifications to the
positioning of the "3" in triplets. Thank you for that.
A new problem has arisen:
It is occasionally necessary to be able to score parts using the same stave
independently of each other where divisi parts are required. This applies
where more than one player is allocated to a part. In the Percussion line
this feature is critical/essential for the drum kit. (I am aware of the
"split stave" feature, but that goes further than is required in this case.)
The attached screenshot illustrates.
In the first bar, I have entered the 4 beats for the kick/bass drum first.
Then I have attempted to write triplet quavers for the snare drum. (The
cymbal line -which would be above the snare drum- would usually be similar to
the snare, but not necessarily always so.) Despite selecting the quaver note
to insert, the crotchet was inserted by rg as if by default, with the effect
produced in bar 1.
In bar 2, I have entered the triplet quavers for the snare drum first, then
attempted to enter 4 crotchet notes for the kick/bass drum. As you can see,
rg has "defaulted" to triplet quavers.
What I wanted to write was the kick/bass drum bar 1 ( 4 crotchets) and the
snare drum bar 2 (triplet quavers for two beats and individual crotchets for
two beats) occurring simultaneously.
This feature is a given for the drum kit stave/line. However, the ability to
score two (or sometimes 3) parts moving independently in this fashion on the
same stave is occasionally a requirement in writing for other instruments in
Hope this can be resolved without too much difficulty.
