Hi, everyone. I wanted to get the opinion of people here before I write bug reports, just to make sure that it's not user error. A few odd things have been happening with my Rosegarden sessions. The first problem is that I have a project file that works with a GM soundfont via QSynth, plus some other plugins such as FluidSynth DSSI. After I added Slayer2 via DSSI-VST, the program no longer sent volume settings upon load to QSynth, even though the knobs showed the correct volume levels. However, I could reset the volumes by wiggling the volume knobs on each channel. If I reloaded the project, the volumes would be wrong again. Another issue I've had with every Rosegarden project is that when my song gets long enough (around 3 minutes and 16 channels), there is a pause that can last five or more seconds every few minutes. My CPU is a 1.2ghz Athlon. |

If you download jack source code, there is a README with a trick about memory and swapping. It sounds like you should experiment a little with such things ... if you don't already have. Flemming |
