"Looseness problem" is a good enough description, I just hadn't really sat
down and looked hard enough to understand what you were talking about.

I wasn't criticizing you or anyone else in particular, just expressing
frustration at how much work there is to do here.
I knew this job was going to be big, and I worried that it might not get done
at all, but I never expected we would work as hard as we did for as long as
we have, only to wind up sitting here looking for a distant finish line that
still isn't quite in sight over the fog on the horizon. I keep hoping it
will come into view clearly and sharply, but that really hasn't happened yet.
I see shapes in the fog, hints, but no clarity.
I mean you'd think we were porting to GTK or something, as difficult as this
whole process has been. It really makes laughing at the morons who keep
suggesting that we do just that even more amusing.
