If this is not a good idea, please say so, otherwise I'll log it on sf: The "Manage Metronome" dialog window, which may be opened via the "Studio" menu in the track editor, is an interface for silently changing the behaviour of the metronome. The problem is that the metronome is silent while you are changing the speed, pitch or instrument, meaning you have no rapid method of aurally confirming that the chosen settings are what you really want. Instead you have to open an editor window and do a trial playback to be able to hear the metronome with its new settings, thus wasting time and mouseclicks. It would be better if you could hear the metronome while you are changing its settings in the "Manage Metronome" dialog. This would provide rapid aural feedback to the user. Suggestion: Make it possible to have the metronome be heard while the metronome settings are being changed in the "Manage Metronome" dialog. William |
