I know we introduced two new mmapped "segments" (or things like
segments) to hold tempo and timesig information for use at the
Did that stuff ever get used at all on the sequencer side?
I'm looking at the timebase master aspect of the transport, which I
think is what that code was intended for in the first place, and of
course it needs that data.
I don't suppose that someone more familiar with the sequencer's
mmappedsegment code than I am would happen to feel like writing a
simple lookup into these segments?
All I want -- at least, I think all I want -- is a couple of member
variables in SoundDriver that report the current time signature and
tempo at the current sequencer time, as well as when the time
signature change happened (in RealTime terms). If the sequencer
could just write that stuff in to the SoundDriver during its
updateClocks method, that would probably work well enough.
I'll do it if nobody else fancies it, just I haven't time right now
and I have other things I'd rather be getting on with.
