Category: gui Group: None Status: Open Resolution: Invalid Priority: 6 Private: No Submitted By: Ted Felix (tedfelix) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Ubuntu 12.04 Unity: No Icon Initial Comment: Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit Unity. No matter how I launch rg (command line, dash, Eclipse), the icon appears, then disappears during startup. There is no icon in the launcher, and I can't switch to rg with Alt-Tab. This happens with 11.11.42 which ships with Ubuntu and with the latest svn. Never had this problem with Ubuntu 11.10 32-bit Unity. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Ted Felix (tedfelix) Date: 2012-05-17 17:48 Message: This is bug #995916 on launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/995916 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ted Felix (tedfelix) Date: 2012-05-17 16:11 Message: It gets worse... If you iconize rg (or kstars) after the second launch, you cannot get it (them) back. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ted Felix (tedfelix) Date: 2012-05-13 05:34 Message: kstars has the same problem. So this appears to be a general Qt/KDE + Unity issue. Should get fixed on its own eventually. Maybe I'll browse launchpad and see if it's already been reported. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ted Felix (tedfelix) Date: 2012-05-10 18:16 Message: Reboot does fix the problem. It appears that this problem happens on the second launch of rg. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ted Felix (tedfelix) Date: 2012-05-10 16:47 Message: Appears to be intermittent as it is working fine today. Maybe a reboot helps? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=104932&aid=3525341&group_id=4932 |
