If you really want to do this, it's easy to do the same way I just counted the number of program changes in the file. 1) import the .mid file 2) save the imported result as an .rg file 3) gunzip -c exported_result-file.rg | grep programchange Let's see... You'd want to grep everything that isn't a program change, and direct the result to some other file. This worked: gunzip -c OZRIC8.rg |grep -v programchange > foo.rg Now foo.rg is the same as the original file, with all the program change events stripped out. You could also do the same thing from the event list editor if you'd rather not visit the evil command line.
