#374 Save record filter settings

gui (26)
Hans Baier

When recording all 16 channels from a keyboard,
I have to adjust the record filter of each track to its corresponding channel.

When I save the file, those settings are lost
and I have to set the record filter again manually.

We're sorry, but there is no chance anyone presently on our staff will have time to consider this request. Perhaps you'd like to buy your way onto our staff by presenting us with this request re-expressed in patch form.

Sorry, I am pretty busy in the moment too.
I am working on MIDI support in Ardour and I just implemented it there.

Working my way into Rosegarden code is too much for me ATM.

    Maybe some later time.

Just wanted to let you know, because I tried out a couple of MIDI sequencers on Linux
for a professional musician, and persistent channel settings were crucial to him.
Probably he will end up with Muse then in the mean time....

    Thanks for your work!

I'm glad people can at least do this with MusE.

It does seem like a reasonable request, and the implementation would be similar to the recent patch we had to save the state of the transport mode button with each .rg file. It wouldn't be a huge and insurmountable challenge for someone wanting to get his feet wet, but we just don't have resources to spare for things like this right now.

We realize you don't have time to do it yourself, and we're glad to see that you're involved somewhere, even though it isn't here.

Anyone else reading through this database should consider the same invitation extended to them.

Unlucky in love? Forget eHarmony, forget singles bars. The fastest and most sure way to score your dream mate is to contribute to a project few people have ever heard of. Trust me. As soon as you begin contributing to Rosegarden, you will have to beat the lovely ladies and/or hunky gentlemen off with a stick. You'll have to hire an encourage of 24-hour security guards just to keep the Paparazzi at bay for a few minutes each day. You'll win friends and influence people, and bend the ear of world leaders everywhere.

All of this guaranteed, or every bit of your money back!
