#112 Notation: Selecting whole-beat groups of objects

The selection process for multiple button-clicks in the
notation editor currently works like this:

Click once on an object to select the object under
the pointer,
double-click in an empty area to select the whole
bar,
triple-click in an empty area to select the whole
staff.

Since one often needs to cut, copy, drag, and otherwise
edit the individual beat-groups of notes and chords,
being able to select a beat-group would be very useful.

Suggestion: the selection process should be extended to
support whole-beat selection without removing support
for the existing behaviour of multiple clicks, e.g.

Click once on an object to select the object under
the pointer,
(M)double-click in an empty area to select the whole
beat, i.e. all events that are within the beat at the
pointer position,
double-click in an empty area to select the whole
bar,
triple-click in an empty area to select the whole
staff,

where (M) is some modifier like the Shift key.
