No

After starting Rezound, I go to File | Open and open an mp3 file. After the file is imported, I click on the "play selection once" button and an
error message pops up (see attachment). The file is good (as I ca play it with Totem). Any ideas when I'm getting this error message?

Thanks,

Andy

This is due to the fact that rezound could not initialize the audio output device. This could be a misconfiguration or a limitation where two applications cannot open your output device at the same time (the more likely).

You might get a little more information if you run /usr/bin/rezound from terminal and see output.

I should probably add a GUI message at startup saying what happened rather than getting that error when you first try to play.

Thanks for getting back with me Davy. I tried your suggestion, and I was able to play the MP3 file. I closed
rezound and ran it from the command line (just "rezound &") and it worked then as well. Maybe one of the
recent updates I ran (I'm running Ubuntu) included a patch for rezound. Whatever the case, it's working now.
But thanks for the reply, and the app itself!! Guess you can close this one out.
