I am using the 4.0 version on debian.
It's possibile to add a option or a builtin feature that when are inserted a link eg: http://domain.it/blah.php?etc if exported in pdf this became a link?
Or an autocomplete that insert this in the markdown code for the link?

Discussion

  • Markdown syntax specifies that URLs are linkified (converted to links) only when wrapped in <> (i.e. <http://www.example.com/>, compare this and this for example. There is also a third party markdown-urlize extension that turns on linkification for all URLs.

In reStructuredText, all URLs are linkified, let me know if that is not working.

    thanks for the reply!
I have tryed the <> and it's working!
For enable markdown-urlize in retext there is a guide?
I have now check that Restructuredtext not working in my sistem but i prefer write in markdown syntax.

    • For Debian unstable (which uses Python 3.2), something like this should work:

      wget https://raw.github.com/r0wb0t/markdown-urlize/master/urlize.py -O mdx_urlize.py
      sudo mkdir -p /usr/local/lib/python3.2/dist-packages/
      sudo cp mdx_urlize.py /usr/local/lib/python3.2/dist-packages/
      echo "urlize" >> ~/.config/markdown-extensions.txt
