Video has arrived after many years of discussions and waiting. We have released version 7 of the ResCarta Toolkit which supports video objects. It has full disconvery and display with ResCarta-Web and allows for integration with Kaltura multimedia servers.

The Russian translation was done by a librarian from the Khabarovsk State Institute of Arts and Culture in Russia.

The 5.0.2 version of ResCarta-Web comes with English(US) and Russian. In order to change a language setting, open the \ResCarta-Web\work\conf\rcWebConf.xml for edit and change the
<locale>en_US</locale> to <locale>ru</locale> or the other way around.... read more

If you are considering upgrading your Tomcat to 7.0.50 or 8.0.3beta Please don't do it. The last version of Tomcat 7.0.47 works just fine. There are some bugs in 7.0.50 that will cause ResCarta-Web (and just about everyone else's code) to break in very odd ways.

We are finally working on internationalization of the ResCarta-Web and then onto the Toolkit. From the beginning we have been UTF-8 based for all our metadata storage, indexing and discovery. It is about time we give our worldwide users a break from having to constantly rewrite our JSP files. Start the clock we are working on it...
