Hello, Kazuhide, I'm glad you are not letting these obstacles stop you! Try these instructions for netcdf with Cygwin: http://www.libradtran.org/doku.php?id=user_area:netcdf_under_cygwin I don't remember this issue when I installed with Cygwin, but I just re-installed Cygwin and found that it installed these .dll files instead of the usual libraries. Let us know if this works. Boost is a nonstandard installation. Make sure you follow the instructions at: http://old.nabble.com/Repast-HPC-on-Windows-under-Cygwin-td33545933.html You don't need the Graph library; the instructions tell you how to install only the four boost libraries needed by Repast HPC (mpi, serialization, system, and filesystem). The user-config.jam file is in the PATH_TO_BOOST_INSTALL/tools/build/v2/ directory. Best, John -- John T. I perservered in solving problems, but I was completely unable to solve the problem of libnetcdf_c++.a. I understand that I should install netcdf when I install cygwin. Is it correct? If correct, does the installation of netcdf not well? Also, I knew that boost installation didn't well. When I install boost, I received the following message. warning: Graph library does not contain MPI-based parallel components. note: to enable them, add "using mpi ;" to your user-config.jam - iconv (libc) : no - iconv (separate) : no - icu : no - icu (lib64) : no - ../config//has_gcc_visibility builds : no - ../config//has_long_double_support builds : yes warning: skipping optional Message Passing Interface (MPI) library. note: to enable MPI support, add "using mpi ;" to user-config.jam. note: to suppress this message, pass "--without-mpi" to bjam. note: otherwise, you can safely ignore this message. There isn't user-config.jam in the repasthpc folder, but when I run bootstrap, project-config.jam was created. So, I modify it, and I added "using mpi ;" in this file. However, I received the same 4 messages; "There isn't specified path". This error occurs when I install boost1.49, but this error didn't occur when I installed boost1.44. I don't know the reason and don't guess it. Do you know or guess the reason? Best regards, Kazuhide Ota |
