No

If an external program returns with RC <> 0, REXX
prints an error message.

Example:

Execution of the program line

'ls xxx'

prints

2 *-* 'ls xxx'
+++ RC=1 +++

if the file xxx does not exist.

This behaviour is sometimes rather annoying. In such a
case the REXX program should be able to decide which
message is printed. Some programs use the return code
to indicate different states, so RC <> 0 does not
necessarily indicate an error state of the external
program.

At least there should be an option to suppress these
messages.

Thanks!
