No

when examining a file with zero bytes (under Windows/XP and Windows 7):

fid='ABC.Z' /*has zero bytes, according to DIR.*/
k=lines(fid) /*returns 1*/
a=lines(fid,'C') /*returns 0*/
x=lines(fid,'N') /*returns 1*/
o=lines(fid,) /*returns 1*/

The results should be consistent where one of the results is zero.

Discussion

    • summary: Regina 3.3 --> 3.7 --> Regina 3.3 --> 3.7, LINES bif inconsistancies

  • It should be noted that each of the invocations of LINES bif were in a separate REXX program.
