Hi, I've found a freeware (smcFanControl) which can
impose a minimal speed fan of Mac Book.
I think it's interessant for XP's user can impose a
fan speed when we work on XP.
On this soft it's specify when you reboot on XP with
a fan speed saved, this speed is used on XP.

You can download smcFanControl and contact its
devloppers on :

So, escuse my english, I'm french.

So why don't you ask the smcFanControl people to port their application to Windows?

Because, if it's in rEFIt the fan cntrol can work for every system,
Linux etc, but if it's smc people who port their applications on
windows, he have port on linux to...

So I think it's more easy to port smc to refit than other system...

If someone can come up with an EFI binary that does the appropriate SMC calls from within EFI, that can be dropped into /efi/tools/drivers and rEFIt will load it automatically when it starts up. I'd be happy to host such a tool under the rEFIt project umbrella and distribute it along with rEFIt, but I don't have the time and background to develop one myself. Categorizing accordingly.
