Hi Julien, On 06-Feb-07 at 09:39 -0500 Julien Lafrance-Vanasse wrote: > I was about to create my own citation styles (for biochemistry > journals) and in the wiki, I saw that I can "post this new .php > file to the community > <http://wiki.refbase.net/index.php/refbase:Community_Portal>. That's correct. The note in the wiki is meant to encourage people to send us their modified (or newly created) citation styles so that we can add them to the core refbase distribution. > I thought that maybe my favourite journal were already entered, > but I didn't found any in the forum or in the mailing lists. Rick has started to develop citation styles for APA and MLA, though. These are available in the "bleeding-edge" branch of our refbase SVN repository (see below). When developing your own citation style, have a look at the existing 'cite_AnnGlaciol_JGlaciol.php' file or Rick's 'cite_APA.php' file (inside the 'cite/styles/' directory). These files may help you getting started. Otherwise you're welcome to post your questions here (or in the SF forums). > When I'll be done, where do I post those citation styles? You could send your citation style file(s) to this mailing list as an attached file. Alternatively, send these files to my personal email address (refbase at extracts de). Please include some information (journal name & web address, etc) about the journal for which your style file was written. We could then upload your files to our SVN repository: <http://svn.refbase.net/> This would make your files immediately available when installing refbase from SVN. In addition, people could download them here: <http://refbase.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/refbase/branches/bleeding-edge/= cite/styles/> <http://refbase.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/refbase/trunk/cite/styles/> While the "trunk" contains a rather stable version of refbase, the "bleeding-edge" branch is meant to contain development versions that haven't been tested much yet. I hope this helps, Matthias |
