How to sort references by appearence

    As there are journals which want to have the citations in the text numbered and sorted by appearance in the text here a Workaround:
    add in the  cite_?????.php
    $record .= "\{".$row."\}." . " "; # manage to sort by appearance order in text
    in front of each
    if (!empty($row))

    then extract the citations
    Copy the citations in the text (f.e at the bottom)

    look for the first citation in the text and substitute {####} with   (style for PlosOne #### means the serial number)
    look for the second citation in the text and substitute {####} with
    look for the third citation in the text and substitute {####} with 
    and so on.

    After substituting all serial codes you maybe must change   to  (depending on the journal)

    now the citations may look like:
