as an introduction for our students I plan to hold a short course about citing and bibliography editing in word processors. Just for fun I've tried the Open Office .odf export function of refbase and find, that the import does not work. I use OO V. 3.2 (latest) and RefBase 0.9.5. The OO-Base Program (SCalc as well) gives me the message that there is an error in the file itself. I don't know if this is a compability problem or coding issue?
Import of the same file in Word XML format to Word 2010 beta works fine…
Does this happen for all ODF XML files generated (no matter how few and simple the records are) by your copy? Does it happen if you export from the refbase demo sites (such as beta.refbase.net)? I am able to open ODF XML files generated by beta.refbase.net in OO.o 3.2 on Linux without issues.
I found the error. It was a char.-encoding issue with special chars (") were not imported correctly, and that what messed up the odf file.
sry for the bother - should've noticed it earlier.
