Very slowly my colleagues from our institute are getting aquainted to the fact that it might make sense to organize articles in RefBase and not locally with everybody having a different naming scheme…(I will not keep on blathering, because we all know what the benefits of RefBase are.).
Anyways, I have realized that it might indeed make sense to batch-download PDFs from RefBase, say I have a group of different articles about one topic and I want to give them to my students for supplementary reading for a project.
It would be nice to have a SQL-command in order to batch download all the files attached to entries in a given group.
Is that at all possible? Or are there ways other than SQL-commands?
Thanks a batch…uhm…bunch ^^
There is no HTML-native way to prompt a browser to download multiple files. It would be possible to tar or zip the files together into a single archive file, but this would be a bit tedious. This is much better accomplished on the client-side with a third-party download manager.
OK - thanks for the hint :-)
I've installed "DownthemAll" for firefox - works like a dream…
