limit!-((abs(x)-3)/(x-3),x,3); yields -1 instead of 1.

    A preliminary analysis shows that the the error occurs with "off usetaylor;", whereas the result is correct with "on usetaylor;".

    The reasons behind this is the incorrect power series expansion when using the tps package. Compare:

     ps(abs(eps^2-3),eps,0);

            2        7
     3 + eps  + O(eps )

    to

     taylor(abs(eps^2-3),eps,0,6);

            2        7
     3 - eps  + O(eps )
