thanks to your replies and tips we finally got everything working.
This is what we did:
1) We recompiled rdesktop 1.3 on HP-UX 11i with gcc (Version 3.3.2) - =
it didn't work with the usual HP C/ansi C developpers bundle
2) Then we executed: Configure --> Make --> Make install
3) Everything works fine when executing rdesktop with the -k Option =
(for German Layout: -k de)
THX a lot to all.

Betreff: AW: [rdesktop-users] rdesktop +WIN XP and exceed - Keyboard =
Hi list, hi Sabine,
as Bladt Norbert mentioned, upgrading to rdesktop-1.2.0 or higher might =
solve your problems. We had the same problems under good old HP-UX =
A.9.* and rdesktop-1.1.0 and got it solved by recoding the keymappings. =
But I would recomment in testing the newer rdesktop versions.

----- In Answer to Sabine.Nowacki@... -----
we're having a strange problem with rdesktop on our PC's.=20
We're currently using rdesktop Version 1.1.0 and Hummingbird exceed 8.0 =
on WinXP Professional.=20
We can connect to the remote machine (with hopping via a HP-UX server), =
but the keyboardlayout isn't correct. All keys seem to have shifted to =
the next key, e.g. to get an "a" you have to press "s" and to get an =
"s" you have to press "d" (german Layout) and so on.
We already executed rdesktop with the -k option to make sure the german =
layout is used.=20
Up to now I couldn't find any resource about such problems, neither on =
the Hummingbird HP nor on rdesktop.org or in the mailinglists.
Has anyone a clue?=20
THX in advance.=20
