Hello. I forward here a problem which affects my colleagues:
We connect from linux to a windows 2003 server standard edition (which is a few thousands kilometers away) using the following command line:
rdesktop -u username -a 16 windows -f -K
The server is set up to keep user applications running in case of disconnect.
If the rdesktop window is killed (for instance if the internet link has a problem), on the next connection attempt the server will display no running applications (as if all were closed on exit)
Note: when connecting/disconnecting from windows, the applications stay alive.
Also they are still alive when connecting from linux after being connected from windows.
Tests have been conducted using
- rdesktop-1.3.1; on several machines we used the rpm provided in the Fedora Core 1/2 kit; on a few others which run RH 7.3 we compiled a source rpm described by:
Name : rdesktop Relocations: (not relocateable)
Version : 1.3.1 Vendor: (none)
Release : 3 Build Date: Sat 02 Oct 2004 02:47:01 PM EEST
Install date: (not installed) Build Host: sh2004.itonet.co.jp
- the CVS version downloaded on 12.01.2005
Has anyone else seen this behavious? Any solution or workaround?
