I have downloaded the lastest cvs (2003-03-11) and compiled it without any errors (except for some "pragma" warnings) It runs finely until I try it with the -a option in 16/24 bit mode. In 16bit mode the colours gets all screwed and looks really strange In 24bit mode the the image gets a blueish hue (and some parts get a strange pink colour). When compiling in Linux everything displays alright (I run rdesktop connnecting with a Windows 2003 server)so I deduce this must be a Solaris issue. In 8 bit mode it runs without any colour problems though. Any ideas why this 16/24 bit error occurs or how to correct it? /R "The question is not if you are paranoid, it's if you are paranoid enough" _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your e-mail with MSN 8. Hi, I tried also the last sources on FreeBSD, only the 8 bits mode is working. For 16/25 modes I got the error: bash-2.05b$ ./rdesktop -a 16 ts server bpp 16 client bpp 32 depth 24 bash-2.05b$ ./rdesktop -a 24 ts server bpp 24 client bpp 32 depth 24 bash-2.05b$ -- Ciprian Badescu On Tue, 11 Mar 2003, Phoenix - wrote: > Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2003 12:57:19 +0000 > From: Phoenix - <pho...@ho...> > To: rde...@li... > Subject: [rdesktop-users] 16 bpp 24 bpp modes on Sun Solaris (8 / 9) for > SPARC > > I have downloaded the lastest cvs (2003-03-11) and compiled it without any > errors (except for some "pragma" warnings) > It runs finely until I try it with the -a option in 16/24 bit mode. > In 16bit mode the colours gets all screwed and looks really strange > In 24bit mode the the image gets a blueish hue (and some parts get a strange > pink colour). > > When compiling in Linux everything displays alright (I run rdesktop > connnecting with a Windows 2003 server)so I deduce this must be a Solaris > issue. > In 8 bit mode it runs without any colour problems though. > Any ideas why this 16/24 bit error occurs or how to correct it? > > /R > > "The question is not if you are paranoid, it's if you are paranoid enough" > > _________________________________________________________________ > Add photos to your e-mail with MSN 8. Hello, I am using rdesktop 1.2.0 on HPUX 10.20. In the past I used the Citrix software to connect to Windows via ICA. In this solution it was possible to have only 16 colors used, for writing drafts and Excel sheets it was quite enough. To day everybody speeks about 16 or 24 colors planes, but is it still possible to have 4 planes colors in rdesktop ?, this would allow to use old 256-colors-Xservers without having color-flashing due to Colormap switching. Thanks, Christian |
