Hi, We tried to get the spec from microsoft but our request never reach the guys in-charge. Can anyone share any RDP related spec here? Is the "now-old version" of the protocol spec free to distribute? What's a good start of developing a RDP 5.1 compatible client? Thanks! -ch Pablo Gimenez wrote: > > Hi, we are willing to develop a Terminal Server Client > in Java but we don't have RDP protocol specification. > Can anyone help us??? As I recall, you can get a copy of the spec from Microsoft, but it is distributed under NDA (last I checked). As such, you would not be likely able to release code based on the spec under a Free license. Hence, this project has reversed engineered a now-old version of the protocol from scratch. You are free to base your client on rdesktop's protocol implementation, provided you adhere to the terms of the GPL. -Matt __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New Yahoo! See properJavaRDP which is a Java implementation of an RDP 4 client with some RDP 5 stuff, based on rdesktop (www.sourceforge.net/projects/properjavardp) Chris |
