has anyone integrate the sc-redirection into rdesktop cvs? I saw some postings in Feburary, then no word afterward. Is the patch available anywhere? thanks --=20 peter huang |

Two different implementations was submitted, one by Pawel Buchaniec and one by Alexi Volkov. We agreed that they should work together and try to produce one common patch, against the rdesktop CVS version. This was in min-April. But for some reason, this never happened. -- Peter Åstrand OpenSource-based Thin Client Technology Cendio www.thinlinc.com Teknikringen 3 Phone: +46-13-21 46 00 58330 Linköping, Sweden |

thanks for the reply. Is it possible to take a look at the implementation since it can be quite educatonal in understand how RDP can be extended. -peter On 8/17/05, Peter =C5strand <pe...@ce...> wrote: > Peter Huang wrote: > > has anyone integrate the sc-redirection into rdesktop cvs? >=20 > No. >=20 > > I saw some postings in Feburary, then no word afterward. Pawel Buchaniecs implementation is available from http://www.mojehobby.pl/tmp/rdesktop-1.4.0-with-SCard.tgz Alexi Volkovs implementation is available from http://www.cendio.se/~peter/scard-alexi.zip It would be great if someone could integrate these. -- Peter Åstrand OpenSource-based Thin Client Technology Cendio www.thinlinc.com Teknikringen 3 Phone: +46-13-21 46 00 58330 Linköping, Sweden |

thanks for the pointer. I got the chance to quickly look over the code and they are quite similiar in a few places. Both used muscle pcsc stack, one can use 1.20 and the other need 1.29 beta. both implement raw scard communication and it is not clear to me where the indiviual card interaction come in. opensc and muscle offers support to different cards, so it probably make sense to see if middleware like opensc can be used to provider better abstraction and support differ kinds of smartcards. I'll work on it and see if I can do something there. -peter=20 On 8/19/05, Peter =C5strand <pe...@ce...> wrote: > Peter Huang wrote: > > thanks for the reply. No I don't think any higher level than PCSC should be be used. On the ter= minal=20 server a CSP is used to talk to the card on client side through PCSC. The= =20 windows CSP uses PCSC call on the server which are redirected to the clie= nt=20 through the rdesctop scard implementation. So the SCP on windows should t= ake=20 care of all card specific stuff. There are several SCPs on windows for different card with different forma= tting.=20 Often you can get the CSP from the organisation that has issued the card.
