I shortened the shell file and directory name to make sure I'm not mistaking in names, so now it's: rdesktop -u hetz -p XXXXX -A -s "c:\srdp\srdp.exe c:\windows\notepad.exe" xp-vm But it still gives me the damn start menu, and yes, I logged off before I tried it. Any suggestions? Thanks, Hetz > As for it "possibly" working, I think Lloyd mentioned that the XP VM > shouldn't be logged in elsewhere (remote console). Make sure it's > completely logged out. I'm no message OP (even though I ran "The Sci-fi BBS" for years) but let's keep the talk clean and calm. Keep this project in context - its open source, if you find an issue you have the ability to resolve the issue yourself. It helps you and it helps others around the world. --no more use of the d-word ok. ______________________________________________________________________ Lewis Don...@um...
