I run rdesktop on Red Hat Linux 9 to connect to my Windows XP workstation. It's version 1.2.0. One thing I've noticed is that the screen update performance is a little slow. This is especially true if I use the arrow keys to scroll around in Word or other programs. For comparison, I noticed that if I connect from an older Windows 2000 machine (ie hardware is not the issue), using Microsoft's terminal services client, this is not an issue. The screen update performance is good. This is not a criticism! Rdesktop is a great program. I was wondering though if there is anything that can be done to tune the performance to make it snappier? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, <> Jim |
