hello,
i had this problem with 0.0.3 / centOS 3.5

ftp user (ftpchaos2) cannot login, i looked into
/etc/passwd and got
ftpchaos2:x:503:149::/home/httpd/vhosts/chaos2.domain.com:/sbin/nologin
changed it to:
ftpchaos2:x:503:149::/home/httpd/vhosts/chaos2.domain.com:/bin/false
and it worked.

is it right to do so ? someone else got this problem ?
(please, cormander, tell me if there is a bug list i
can check out before wasting your time Smile

it looks like even if the EDIT PHYSICAL HOSTING form
you set "/sbin/nologin", then the value "/bin/false" is
saved in /ec/passwd file and in mysql table too

Code:

mysql> select * from sys_users;
+----+-----------+--------+------------+----------+
| id | login | passwd | shell | home_dir |
+----+-----------+--------+------------+----------+
| 1 | ftpchaos2 | **** | /bin/false | |
+----+-----------+--------+------------+----------+

ciao,
marco

    Eh. Forgot to close this :)

    I fixed the error, you will see it in 0.0.4

    The new default shell will be /bin/false , and ravencore
    will add it to /etc/shells if it isn't already in there
