    Hi everyone…

    This soft is really awsome. I have Ubuntu Studio 10.04 Lucid Lynx in my notebook and actually I use 0.3.0 version. It is working perfectly. I use this to perform vocal live band shows.

    I had some problems during the instalation of new version 0.5.8 Equinox, see below de config.log file.

    This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
    running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.
    It was created by rakarrack configure 0.5.8_Equinox, which was
    generated by GNU Autoconf 2.65.  Invocation command line was
      $ ./configure

    Hi ..

    To compile rakarrack you need  a c++ compiler … called g++ in linux ..  I'm not a Ubuntu user … but in Debian they are a metapackage called build-essential that probably exist in Ubuntu too. Then you need to install

    sudo apt-get install build-essential

    After that you also need to install all the librarys that rakarrack require, you can see the list of names in the README file provided in the sources.

    If you had never compile programs … I think is better you try to find a deb package for your Ubuntu version …. maybe you can use some of this:

    http://ppa.launchpad.net/autostatic/ppa/ubuntu/pool/main/r/rakarrack/

    Josep

  • +1 for the autostatic PPA.

    If you love rakarrack, you are going to love it even more.

    The short way to install it in lucid, at June, 2000, afaik:

    $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:autostatic/ppa
    $ sudo apt-get update
    $ sudo apt-get install rakarrack

    Main thanks go to Josep and the rest of the Rakarrack crew.
    If only more people knew how to work in a team. You rock!

    Pablo
