Rainbow 2 can be found on forge.novell svn repository.... there is plenty of info on the community,
and you can contact moudrick for any svn questios, as he is the expert.
Ace is also very good, but he has passed the admin job onto moudrick.
Moudrick has a nice blog, as well as updateds the forums when there is important notes.
Ibatis is not implemented yet, manu and I are waiting for membership to be complete, then a few of
the teams will merge their sandboxes.
At which point the DAL layer work will begin. Manu has a great implementation idea that will get us
off to a good start, and when the content api is ready, according core parts will be dealt with.
Filip and I are redesiging the content api, and more or less starting it over... not that much lost,
since its not in the core yet.... so you probaly wont see content api for a while either.
The key things in the 3.1 releases ( soon to be 4 ) is that they are alpha and incrementally adding
2.0 features, bug fixing and more. Once membership is done, sandboxes will begin to merge, and we
will slowly but surely move to the more familiar
dev/stage/prod scenario for the 2.0 code. It is just still to early to have the "general public"
playing aruond with code that is alpha just becuase it's in dev. and then we have to support it :-)
nexGen is a dead idea... it is/was replaced by rainbow 2 ( well in reality they are teh same thing
). most of the ideas/concepts from next gen take place in the content api. and some of the other
pieces where taken care of with 2.0 native and providers... sitemap, membership, etc....
the major question that is stlil open as far as i know, is Master Page and Themes implementation.

Subject: [Rainbowportal-devel] Rainbow portal versions
I have just install 'Rainbow.Portal.2.0.Alpha.3.1' and get it running. :-)
After a quick look to the sources i have some questions:
1) Where are the svn sources and how can i get the latest svn version ?
( Perhaps with write access, there are lots of warnings after compilation )
2) In the past was lots of discussion about the DAL ( ibatis, ... )
I can't see something similar in the sources are there still plans for a redesign ?
3) What about the rb nextGen version ?
I mean : In which rb version is the main development ?
Thanks in advance
