Nowadays, Yes there is enthusiasm in the group. it will be good for rainbow
if we use in true way...
Aqua seems not rainbow, it's a new commercial product based on
Rainbow. everyone has freedom to develop a new rainbows according to
copyleft (not copyright). I joined Rainbow because of it's open source. I
believe in open source.
When I thought about our past, I see we lost power after leaving
sourceforge (I mean CVS).
Yes SVN is better but we could not use its powerness and lost sourceforge's
potential developers and community users... Also I think same for leaving
My idea is we should return back sourceforge when SVN is ready (March 2006)=
And now 50 projects use for testing... maybe we will be 51st...
I will always be open source side... And In my opinion no need to convert
from Rainbow 1.1. to Asp.net 2.0.
We can develop new rainbow(there are alot of efforts (newgenesis,
next.rainbowportal.net) yes requirements changes everyday bot somethings
never change) in aspnet 2.0, because we know the weaknesses, errors in
designs and powerful tools such as IBATIS, AJAX...
Then a product finished just write a transfer program()... Let's start in =
small group then we grow without give up control...
Best regards and Happy new year
