I promised I'd help you with this when I returned from vacation, but
then I got sick, and then my wife decided to start a new business that
is consuming all of my free time, and then my dog ate my homework,...
Here's the inheritance for Rainbow:
public class Page : System.Web.UI.Page
protected virtual void Rainbow.UI.Page.OnUpdate(EventArgs e)
protected override void Rainbow.UI.Page.EditItemPage.OnUpdate(EventArgs
override protected void
Page is the 'lowest base class' where OnUpdate shows up, therefore the
virtual designation. When a virtual method is invoked, the run-time
type of the overriding object is checked for an 'override'ing member.
Here's your problem: in your definition of OnUpdate() you have no
arguments, i.e. in C++ you would have defined it as OnUpdate(void)
[personally, I miss the void]
The compiler says :gee, you are defining an override function called
OnUpdate that takes no arguments, but none of the classes up the
inheritance tree have an OnUpdate that takes no arguments, therefore I
have 'no suitable method to override'.
Add (EventArgs e) to OnUpdate and also PASS IT ON TO THE base.OnUpdate
OnDelete() is the same problem.

Subject: [Rainbowportal-devel] error on compile, I'm stumped
I'm still new to Rainbow and I probably should have had this module
a long time ago. I have been
out of town far more then I expected and not really had the time I
have to do it.
Anyway, getting this error.
suitable method found to
suitable method found to
I zipped the code, sql file, controls, etc and put them online if anyone
needs to see the code.
Side note, where is a good place to host? I don't need a great deal of
bandwidth, I just want to have
a public place to run the stuff I have done and to use the portal to
some other code I have done+resume.
My host wants $34 a month to run the portal and that is a bit out of
at this time.

Hi, - who ever it may concern
The Article Module has at least the following problems:
1) the Subtitle field is not displayed
2) the Abstract field doesn't allow any html-tags - it doesn't even
escape them, but they are simply removed alltogether!
3) there is no way to place a picture in the preview of this article nor
change the formatting of the date
4) the details screen shows who modified it and when, even though the
"Show Modified by" checkbox is deactivated in the settings of this
