I’m having the hardest time trying to make url’s work for me. For example, as a rudimentary form of module communication I am trying reload the current page and tack on a CustomerID to the URL, the page loads correctly and the URL in IE shows CustomerID=2, but the code inside a module to parse that url using Request.QueryString[“CustomerID”] doesn’t see the customer id at all.
To give you a better idea of what I am trying to accomplish consider this…
You have two modules on a page, One is a CustomerList showing you a list of all customers. If you select a customer from the list, another module called CustomerOrders, populates the orders for that customer.
Manipulating the URL seems to be the easiest way to accomplish this task. In the CustomerOrders module I am trying to parse the url with Request.QueryString[“CustomerID”]. But as stated earlier, it is not working. Even though I can see the customer id in the browser address, the code doesn’t see it.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
