When I went to download 6.1 rc2 for testing, I noticed rc3 in the download area.
So, I downloaded it instead. However, I haven't seen an announcement, so I
understand my comments may be premature.
I'm using 64-bit Suse Linux 12.1 with gcc 4.6.2 and Qt 4.7.4.
I get compiler errors from qwt_interval.h, line 294:
qwt_interval.h:294:2: error: expected constructor, destructor, or type
conversion before ‘QDebug’
Commenting out line 291 allows everything else to compile. That line is:
Q_DECLARE_METATYPE( QwtInterval )
It looks like that line got added in rev 1658, presumably to fix an issue with
the designer plugin. Perhaps this is a debug versus release build issue?
By the way, I look forward to trying things out. This upcoming release includes
may things I have been implementing myself for years. Having them in the
baseline will be nice.

That did it. Compiles and runs just fine.
