    That's weird. I'll look into it, but I'm afraid I won't be
    able to reproduce the error.

It seems that this message comes, wenn the uploaded
    file ist too big.

I have the same problem with big files >1MB

Well, I don't have exactly this problem, but I can't set the
upload_max_filesize-directive, erhm, can set it, but won't
change anything. The thingy stops and returns "File exceeds
maximum size.". If I check a phpinfo() call, I clearly see
    "512M" as the max size.

I'm trying to upload a file of 2.8 mbyte. Files smaller than
    2mbyte seem to work...

Did you remember to set post_max_size as well ?

You need to make sure that:

    1) 'MAX_FILE_SIZE' (if included in upload form) is set
    bigger then file being uploaded.

    2) 'upload_max_filesize' (PHP Directive) is set bigger then
    file being uploaded.

    3) 'post_max_size' (PHP Directive) is set bigger then file
    being uploaded.

    4) 'memory_limit' (PHP Directive, and if enabled) is set
    bigger then file being uploaded.

    5) also, make sure 'max_execution_time' and 'max_input_time'
(PHP Directives) are long enough to transfer file. Normally
    set 300 and 0|-1.

  • Big THX for that information, Felix!

After looking at all quix forms for the cause of the upload restriction (by default it works until 2MB) this was the solution.
Now it works until the amount of data i setup in php.ini.
Which was a big thing, cause i have an embedded NAS from Freecom, FSG-3 WLAN, where you have now access from a windows system to the apache config files. but with the base quixplorer, admin home-dir set to root of the FSG, i was able to exchange the modified php.ini. So thanks for that, again!

For linux- and/or apache-newbees i would suggest to place the information of the solution into the readme of quixplorer.

    Best regards,
    Jörg from Berlin
