I started to use Quexf a week ago to create a non standard questionnaire. I need a long list of checkboxex (>15). So I created an xml file using QueXml. Since the descriptions of every question are rather long and because of the many checks I modified quexmlpdf_example.php to get a landscape questionnaire. And it did work. Now enter QueXf. At first I used version 1.10.2. Using Page setup I managed to get the landscape questionnaire loaded. But I couldn't get the questionnaire to work the way it is supposed to. So I upgraded to version 1.12.2. Now I can no more load a landscape pdf. Since there's no more a Page setup I can't set the corner marking position and I get an error when I try to import the questionnaire: "INVALID - IGNORING BLANK PAGE" Is there a work around to solve that problem? Thank you maxx |

Dear Maxx, In queXF versions >= 1.11.0, the system looks for a barcode in the top right hand corner of the page (see the directives in the config.default.php file: //Barcode positions on page defined as portions of the page //Defaults to the top right hand side of the page, from half the page width down to 20% of the height of the page if (!defined('BARCODE_TLX_PORTION')) define('BARCODE_TLX_PORTION',0.5); //Top left X if (!defined('BARCODE_TLY_PORTION')) define('BARCODE_TLY_PORTION',0); //Top left Y if (!defined('BARCODE_BRX_PORTION')) define('BARCODE_BRX_PORTION',1); //Bottom right X if (!defined('BARCODE_BRY_PORTION')) define('BARCODE_BRY_PORTION',0.2); //Bottom right Y If setting the page in landscape mode changed the barcode to not appear in that range, it will not be detected. Try changing the options above to suit. If that still doesn't work - please send through a copy of the PDF to me and I'll see if I can sort it out. Actually - please send the PDF /banding xml if possible anyway - I haven't seen the system used in landscape mode before and now I am curious to see it. I used : if (!defined('BARCODE_TLX_PORTION')) define('BARCODE_TLX_PORTION',0.3); //Top left X if (!defined('BARCODE_TLY_PORTION')) define('BARCODE_TLY_PORTION',0); //Top left Y if (!defined('BARCODE_BRX_PORTION')) define('BARCODE_BRX_PORTION',0.7); //Bottom right X if (!defined('BARCODE_BRY_PORTION')) define('BARCODE_BRY_PORTION',0.2); //Bottom right Y > > If that still doesn't work - please send through a copy of the PDF to > me and I'll see if I can sort it out. It did work. There's a problem verifying forms but I don't think it is connected to portrait or landscape. I'm investigating and I'll send another post. > > Actually - please send the PDF /banding xml if possible anyway - I > haven't seen the system used in landscape mode before and now I am > curious to see it. Sent. It is a landscape pdf not an alien! :-) Thank you maxx |

Dear Maxx, Thank you for sending through the PDF. I have had a look at it and updated queXML to work better with varying width documents. I will send an announcement to the queXML mailing list now.
