Dear All, In the recent past, we have done a lot of work on Qucs, on the gui as well as the simulator. A few snapshots have been built, but I think it is important to build an official 0.0.17 release soon. This way qucs can find it's way back into repositories of major linux distributions, and also people know which version to download. There are a few milestones that I want to be realized before qucs-0.0.17: -Create package dialog shows a blank project list (#94) -Print option does not work (#91) -Implementation of BSIM4 Model Any thoughts about other milestones for 0.0.17? Regards, Frans |

Hello Frans Building a Qucs-0.0.17 release is a good idea. I should be able to finish the BSIM 4 port in about ten days time. Could I also suggest that the current problems with the paint tools (when building new schematic symbols) be resolved before version 17 is released. Best wishes. Mike P.S I now have the DC section of the new BSIM 6 model working. However, this model will not be ready for the release of version 0.0.17. Best wishes. Sounds good to me, I have nothing to add to the list. It would be good to get it back into the repos. If not for 0.0.17, maybe we can line these up for the next release? I'm already working to get rid of any Qt3Support dependencies. I did it for most of the tools (filter, edit, attenuator, lib,...) and I'm about to start with the main Qucs GUI. Another thing I believe is important is to bring all the 2D drawing into QGraphicsScene. If I recall correctly, Frans implemented an workaround to overcome limitations with the currently used QPainter. It gets really slow if you have an schematic together with plots (with many data points). So far I am doing pull requests on the Fran's Github mirror. How can I join the project also on Sourceforge (handle the bugtracker, access to the git repository)? Regards, Guilherme Brondani Torri |
