It would be greatly appreciate if it was possible to
copy an existing schematic to a new schematic so that
a tweak or variation can be created without destroying
the original. It appears that this can be done by
copying the file from the command line, so I would
assume it could be automated in the GUI.

One possible implementation:
- When you right-click on a schematic file, add a
'Copy' option
- Selecting this will pull up a dialog box requesting a
new schematic name (this can be a file dialog box or a
simple text entry).
- Copy the right-clicked schematic to the new file name
specified above
- Refresh the project contents

Thanks

I spoke too soon. The copied schematic needs it's DataSet
and DataDisplay properties updated to reflect the correct
file name. This makes it a little more difficult.

I do copy schematics using this way: Select All (CTRL-A),
Copy (CTRL-C), New schematic (CTRL-N), Paste (CTRL-V). And
that's it. Is it this you are looking for?

I brought this feature request up because I've seen it in
other circuit simulator GUIs. I see that the same function
can be done as you've noted. It just seems like a relatively
long sequence to do a "Copy To New Schematic" function.

So you mean something like this "Copy..." function in the
Cadence tools making a clean copy but changing the
necessary entries everywhere... I'll just assign this
request to Michael. Probably he can implement something
    like this.
