    Hi,

I tried to get an AC simulation to work but w/o success. I wanted to make sure it is not my schematic, so I loaded one of the published examples. Result again negative.

The message window shows no errors. At the same time the table shows all lines for the independent variable ( in this case it is f ) and for output it says "wrong dependencies" and/or "no data".

As I did not find any posts here reporting the same problem, I assume it might either be in my usage or installation which is
Rev. 0.16 on a Suse 11.4 (latest and greatest) done with the appropriate package published by Suse.

Please let me know how to proceed.

    Best regards
    Andreas

    please upload an example schematic
use pastebin.com or similar, b/c there are problems with the whitespace if you just paste it here.

    Hi Carsten,

    thank you for your reply.

I am not quite sure what you are up to with your advise to use pastebin.com - I am using a Linux system ( suse 11.4).

Anyway, the example schematic I used came with the installation and should therefore be untouched. Further I want to point out that my own schematic was drawn in qucs and should have the correct format because of that. If your assumption should be right I must have a very basic problem with garbling files…

Here is the example schematic named " active_bp.sch "  opened with an editor and pasted into this  text. I considered using a hexeditor but that would not show the contents of whitespaces as well or I would have to mail unreadable binary stuff. B.t-w. is there a way to safely attach a file to my reply? Would  "Add Image" do that?

I hope you can identify the problem now, or maybe at least rule out things. My best guess is there is something wrong with the installation package such as there is a correct simulation output, only the display ( table or graphic) does not find it.

    Best regards
    Andreas

    Suse 12.1 is out,
so I do not worry anymore about getting the package for 11.4 to work. There is always hope things might change to the better next time.

And if not… I am not the guy to reverse engineer code - I am  on the hardware side and_ qucs_ should be a tool for me not a pain.  I sure will not spend much time on the next package - either it works as it comes or I will spend my time looking for an alternative. After all there is little to no support beyond the documentation.
