OK, here's a bit more detail -
  1. I opened a qtr project containing some audio and midi recordings
  2. Go through splitting the tracks up into clips
  3. Export each clip and delete afterwards.
  4. Save every now and then, perhaps ten times (I'm chopping up an hour of recordings)
  5. I'm pretty sure I saved one final time before quitting, although I may have chosen "close without saving".

Either way, surely it makes sense to preserve any previous exports permanently on every save of the project - and not just when the whole program is closed?

I've now gone back to 0.57 for peace of mind, but I can reinstall and try to reproduce the issue if you'd like.

any files that are created within a qtractor session, like the ones you
obtain by recording and/or exporting, are automatically deleted *iif*
you discard that session on close.

iow. you must save the session at least once after you record/export one
or more files, otherwise they get cleaned up on close.

please do report whether this is/was the behavior you suspect is/has
happened in your particular case.

might be all something else, unlikely though. you tell me :)

hth.
