In case you're missing something, here goes some bootstrap instructions: 1) Edit the "qjackctl.pro.in" file, adding the following line: TRANSLATIONS += qjackctl_fr.ts 2) Run ./configure && make as usual. 3) Now that you have a proper "qjackctl.pro" file, you can start building your "qjackctl_fr.ts" source translation. Just enter: lupdate -verbose qjackctl.pro That will create the .ts file for you, on the first time its ran. 4) Start translation every string you may find, with: linguist qjackctl_fr.ts That may take all night ;) 5) When finished, you're ready to produce the final "qjackctl_fr.tm": lrelease -verbose qjackctl.pro 6) To make it permanent, move/copy the .tm file into qjackctl's installation directory (n.b. prefix=/usr/local, ymmv) : mkdir -p ${prefix}/share/locale cp qjackctl_fr.tm ${prefix}/share/locale 7) To test the real-thing(tm) you have to set your environment properly, if isn't already: export LANG=fr Then just run qjackctl as usual, and see the glory of a new french world :) Enjoy. -- rncbc aka Rui Nuno Capela rn...@rn... |
